Gus grew up in Albuquerque, attending public school and engaging in arts, science, athletics, and business in the city's theatres, labs, stadiums, and streets. A product of Albuquerque, he continues to engage in all opportunities the city has to offer and to give back through philanthropic efforts.
Gus' passion for serving others is clear through his community engagement. As an active participant in healthcare infrastructure, Gus served as an intern for Project Echo where he learned that large infrastructure is malleable and that community empowerment actually saves lives. Having performed in several shows throughout New Mexico, including Albuquerque's inaugural Shakespeare On The Plaza, Gus is an avid supporter of theatre and the arts. On any given Sunday, you can find Gus supporting music and music education at Chatter ABQ, and it's not rare to catch him volunteering his time at other local venues like aquatic centers.
Gus recently graduated from the University of New Mexico where he studied music and the brain in an interdisciplinary education format. Gus obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. Gus and his dog, Binny, enjoy spending time at one of the nearly 300 parks in Albuquerque and finding new ways to give back to the city.
We love getting to meet new people and share the campaign message with them, but we can't do it without your help. We’d love it if you hosted a meet and greet for Gus to come share his platform, meet you and your friends, and answer any questions that the group may have. No need to come to Gus - Gus will come to wherever you are to share his vision for the city of Albuquerque. Hosting a meet and greet is a great way to support the campaign. Sign up today, we’d love to meet you!
